LORA PROIA, NCC, LCPC, LPC

With over twenty years of experience in education, counseling, and mental health, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges individuals face at every stage of life. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). My professional journey includes serving as a high school and junior high counselor, teaching middle school, working as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), and navigating the rewarding challenges of parenthood.
This breadth of experience gives me a unique perspective and equips me to connect with clients in a meaningful way. I understand not only the clinical aspects of counseling but also the real-world dynamics of school, family, and personal growth. Every role I’ve held has shaped my approach, allowing me to provide compassionate, practical guidance that truly meets clients where they are.
I am passionate about counseling and dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to growth. I take a direct, goal-oriented approach while maintaining a non-judgmental, empathetic, and trusting relationship with each client. I believe in empowering others to understand themselves, make positive changes, and take an active role in their own journey. My goal is to provide a safe space where you can process your thoughts and feelings, find solutions, and feel truly heard as you navigate life’s challenges.
I believe people have the power to change their lives for the better. As an optimist, I help others recognize the positives in their lives and foster self-empowerment. Life happens—job loss, financial challenges, death, divorce, moving, or transitions through different life stages—and sometimes we face depression, anxiety, grief, parenting struggles, or simply don’t know where to start. That’s when therapy can help. If you’re ready to take steps toward positive change, call now to schedule an appointment or a 10–15 minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
