LORA PROIA, NCC, LPC, LCPC
I have over twenty years of experience which includes: being a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), High School Counselor, Junior High Counselor, Middle School Teacher, and Parent. I understand that life can be complicated and overwhelming at times and change can be a nice reset. Sometimes change helps us to understand life more, what is important to us, and give us clarity. I have had many changes in my life over the past few years which started in Illinois brought me to Arizona and Michigan and now back home to Illinois. My journey was a good one and change was what was needed at the time, but I am happy to be home and near family seeing my clients in person in Warrenville as well as telehealth for Illinois, Arizona and Michigan clients.
I am passionate about my work as a counselor and dedicated to helping people along their path. As a counselor, I am direct and goal oriented, non-judgmental and create a caring, trusting, and empathetic relationship with each client. Fostering a safe environment where the individual can work through whatever may be weighing them down is the goal. Whether you are looking for solutions or to be listened to, I am here to offer support, help you to process your feelings, and be a part of your journey for change.
I believe people have the power to change their lives for the better. I am an optimist by nature and try to help others to see the positives in their own lives when they cannot. I believe you can be happy and productive in your life, and you have the power to rewrite or write your story. If you think you may be ready or are ready to take the steps towards change, call now to learn more and a free 10 min consultation to see if we may be a good fit.
