LORA PROIA, NCC, LCPC, LPC
With over 20 years of experience in mental health, counseling, and education, I specialize in helping individuals manage anxiety, navigate life transitions, and build practical coping skills for everyday life. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
My clinical background includes working with adolescents and adults in both school and private practice settings, as well as specialized training as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I have extensive experience supporting clients with anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, and challenges related to school, work, and relationships.
I take a compassionate, down-to-earth approach to therapy, combining evidence-based techniques with real-world understanding. My goal is to help clients feel heard, supported, and equipped with tools they can actually use outside of session.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, feeling stuck, or simply looking for support and personal growth, I provide a safe, supportive space to help you move forward with confidence and clarity.
I am passionate about counseling and dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to growth. I take a direct, goal-oriented approach while maintaining a non-judgmental, empathetic, and trusting relationship with each client. I believe in empowering others to understand themselves, make positive changes, and take an active role in their own journey. My goal is to provide a safe space where you can process your thoughts and feelings, find solutions, and feel truly heard as you navigate life’s challenges.
I believe people have the power to change their lives for the better. As an optimist, I help others recognize the positives in their lives and foster self-empowerment. Life happens—job loss, financial challenges, death, divorce, moving, or transitions through different life stages—and sometimes we face depression, anxiety, grief, parenting struggles, or simply don’t know where to start. That’s when therapy can help. If you’re ready to take steps toward positive change, call now to schedule an appointment or a 10–15 minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
